"The Kitchen Table" will debut at IQF Long Beach in July 2012 in the "Rituals" exhibit, then go on to IQF Houston in the fall 2012.  It is 24" across and 60" long.  I used rusted fabric, some hand dyes and commercial cottons.  There is just a bit of orange silk added too.  Sponsors:  Moore's Sewing Centers  http://www.mores-sew.com  and Havel's Sewing http://havelssewing.com and the Dinner at Eight Artists blog http://dinnerateightartists.blogspot.com/

It's beautiful, Julie! It makes me think of a stained glass window, although most likely you had something else in mind.

Thank you. It does look a bit like stained glass.

Been really enjoying looking at your work Julie. Beautiful use of color and compositions! It is amazing how you can use so many pieces of fabric and color and yet the pieces don't appear chaotic. Just lovely.
